Anahtar Kelimeler: CERRAHİ PROSEDÜRLER, STEM, ÜRİNER DİVERSİYONIn this study, comparing the double-J ureter stents and polyethylene feeding tubes, which are used as intraluminal stents for anastomose recovery in dismembered pyeloplasty, according to treatment and cost results was aimed. Thirty-two patients who were treated for ureteropelvic junction stricture between September 2001-May 2003 were included in the study. Double-J ureter stents (Group I) were used as an intraluminal stent after pyeloplasty for 13 patients while polyethylene feeding tubes (Group II) were used for 19 patients. No recurrent stricture and infection was seen in both groups. Cost of equipments and practice in double-J usage was about 135 million TL; on the other hand it was about 500.000 TL for feeding tube usage. Since feeding tube usage is practical, effective and also cheap, we recommend the latter as nephrostomy type diversion in pyeloplasty operations.
