THE EVALUATION OF THE ECG FINDINGS OF HEALTHY PREMATURE BABIES

The ECG's of 30 premature babies with birth weights ranging between 1100-2300 gr were evaluated. In %65 of the cases, right axis, in %35 of them neutral axis was found. In the low birth weight group (> 1500 gr)the incidence of right axis deviation was lower. The ECG pattern of premature babies, when compared to the term babies, was similar to the adult pattern. The PR interval (in D2 derivation) was 0.09 sec in the group smaller than 1500 gr while it was 0.094 sec in the other group. The amplitude of P wave in the same derivation was1.S mm in the first group and 1.5 mm in the second group. When compared to the values found in tern babies, the amplitude of P wave was higher, whereas the PR interval was shorter. The QRS interval was found to be short according to the term babies and shorter in the low birth weight group. The voltage of QRS was low in both groups with no significant difference between these groups. It is emphasized that in order to have a re liable ECG evaluations, the ECG recordings of premature babies must be applied by experienced people with extreme care for technical details.

SAĞLIKLI PREMATÜRELERDE ELEKTROKARDİOGRAFİK BULGULAR VE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Doğum tartıları 1100 ile 2300 gr arasında değişen 30 prematüre bebeğin EKG'lerin incelendi. Olguların %65'inde sağ aks, %35'inde nötral aks bulundu. Düşük tartılı gurupta (>1500 gr) sağ aks deviasyonu daha azdı. Prematürelerdeki EKG traselerinin, terminde doğanlara göre erişkin patternine kaydığı gözlendi.PR süresi (D2'de) 1500 gr'ın altındaki gurupta ortalama 0.09", diğer gurupta ise 0.094" bulundu. P amplitüdü ise (aynı derivasyonda), I. gurupta (1500 gr'ın altı) ortalama 1,8 mm, diğer gurupta 1.5 m bulundu. Bu değerler miyadında doğanlara göre, P amplitüdü yüksek, PR süresi ise kısa bulunmuştur. QRS süresi, düşük ağırlıklı gurupta daha fazla olmak üzere kısa, QRS voltajı ise her iki prematüre gurubunda belirgin derecede farklı olmamak üzere düşük bulunmuştur. Ayrıca değerlendirmelerin doğru yapılabilmesi için çekim tekniğine çok dikkat etmek gerektiği vurgulanmıştır.
