Sore throat and aphonia are the most frequent reasons which disturbs patients comfort at the postoperative period. We compared these complications of endotracheal tube and laryngeal mask airway, which we started use in our institution recently. We included 100 ASA Class I patients to our study. After the standard premedication, monitorization and induction of anaesthesia we inserted laryngeal mask airway or intubate patients randomly. Patients were asked sore throat and aphonia for four times at the postoperative period. Ac cording to our results we conclude that laryngeal mask airway causes statistically less sore throat and aphonia at the early phase of postoperative period.
